Open Positions

We offer motivated students, PhD-students and postdoctoral researchers the possibility to advance the boundaries of physics and make important contributions to actual research projects in an internationally recognized team. In our state of the art laboratories you are working with some of the most sophisticated experimental setups in quantum and atom optics. Teamwork and individual training are key points in our group philosophy; you have the freedom for new ideas, take over responsibility and have the possibility to present your outstanding results on conferences.

PhD and postdoctoral positions:

We invite applications from above average candidates willing to push challenging research projects at any time and will be happy to discuss current opportunities for you in our team individually.
We expect the ambition to "move something, general experimental skill as well as basic knowledge in laser physics and/or quantum optics and atomic physics.

Diploma or Master Thesis projects:

We provide an in-team training where you participate in forefront scientific research using up-to-date laboratory technologies like fibre and polarization optics, spectroscopy techniques, state-of-the-art electronic circuits, ultrahigh vacuum, modern laser technology, computer-based experiment control and data analysis, high resolution imaging and high frequency technology.
